Le Wand Models Compared: Which Wand Is Right for You?
Le Wand's full-size, Petite, Classique and mini wands compared side by side, with advice on rechargeable versus corded and the attachments.

In this guide: Only got a minute? | Why Le Wand? | The families | Full-size wands | Petite wands | Mini and pocket wands | Side by side | Attachments | Which one for you? | Quick questions
Only got a minute? Choose a full-size Le Wand (Rechargeable, Plug-In or Diecast) for the deepest, most powerful vibration at home. Choose the Petite if you want a lighter, travel-friendly wand with a long handle. Choose a Mini or pocket wand for something small and discreet. If you never want to charge it, go corded. You can see every model in our Le Wand collection.
Le Wand is one of the best-known wand brands, and its range has grown into several families: full-size wands, Petites, Minis and pocket wands, plus attachments that change what the wand can do. The names can be confusing, so this guide sets out the differences using Le Wand's published specifications, and helps you work out which one suits you.
What makes a wand different from other vibrators?
A wand has a rounded head on a longer handle. The head carries deep, rumbly vibration over a broad area, and the handle makes it easy to reach and to share with a partner. Wands are used externally, on the clitoris, the shaft, the perineum or anywhere you enjoy vibration, and many people use them as body massagers too. If you are new to wands, our guide on how to use a wand massager covers settings, positions and care.
What are the Le Wand families?
- Full-size: the original Le Wand shape, with the most power. Rechargeable, Plug-In and the heavier Diecast.
- Petite: a smaller, lighter wand with a long handle and a travel lock.
- Classique: a newer, compact line in Petite and Mini sizes.
- Mini and pocket wands: very small, travel-friendly wands with fewer settings.
Which full-size Le Wand should I choose?
Le Wand Rechargeable
The Le Wand Rechargeable has 10 vibration speeds and 20 patterns, a body-safe silicone head on a flexible neck, and up to 3 hours of use per full charge. It comes with a multi-use disposable texture cover and a travel case, and Le Wand backs it with a 1-year warranty and lifetime guarantee. It is splash-proof rather than waterproof, so wipe it clean instead of rinsing it.
Le Wand Plug-In
The Le Wand Plug-In takes the original design and adds a mains cord, so it keeps going for as long as you do. The extra long 8-foot cord gives you room to move, and it works with the original Le Wand silicone attachments and texture covers. Choose it if you hate charging toys.
Le Wand Diecast
The Le Wand Diecast is Le Wand's most powerful wand to date, with a cast metal body and an amplified motor. It has 10 speeds and 20 patterns and is corded, so there are no charging breaks. The metal body makes it heavier, which some people find gives it more presence in the hand. As a corded toy, keep it away from water.
What is the Le Wand Petite?
The Petite is a compact, award-winning wand that is easier to hold and pack than the full-size models. The Le Wand Petite measures 254 mm long and 47 mm deep, weighs 215 g, charges in 2 hours and runs for up to 1 hour. It has a long handle and flexible head for reaching tricky spots, is shower-friendly and USB rechargeable, and has a travel lock. It works with the Petite Ripple and Petite Curve silicone attachments.
The Petite comes in several colours, including a limited edition Rainbow Ombre from Le Wand's All That Glimmers collection, which makes a lovely gift.
Classique Petite
The Classique Petite is a compact cordless wand with 10 deep, rumbly speeds, charged by USB-C. It is a simpler, more affordable way into Le Wand power in a size that fits in any bag.
What about the Mini and pocket wands?
- Classique Mini: a super compact, pocket-sized wand that is discreet enough to travel with.
- Mini Micro Wand: 3 speeds and 7 rumbly patterns, under 60 decibels, IPX5 splash-proof, with up to 2 hours of use from a 1.5 hour charge.
- Mini Vibe Pocket Wand: 3 speeds and 7 patterns in body-safe silicone, with a flexible neck. IPX5 splash-proof.
Small wands do not reach the depth of vibration that the full-size models give, but they are discreet, quiet and easy to take anywhere.

Should I choose rechargeable or corded?
This is the biggest practical choice in the Le Wand range.
- Rechargeable wands go anywhere: the bed, the sofa, a weekend away. You do need to remember to charge them, and the run time sets a limit on each session. The full-size Rechargeable lists up to 3 hours, the Petite up to 1 hour and the Mini Micro up to 2 hours.
- Corded wands never run flat, which many long-time wand fans prefer. The trade-off is that you need to be near a socket, and you should keep them away from water. The Plug-In's 8-foot cord helps.
If you are not sure, think about where you will use it most. If it is always at home, near the bed, corded is simple. If you want to take it with you, choose rechargeable.
How do I get the most from a wand?
- Start on the lowest setting. Le Wand's full-size models are powerful, and many people find a lower speed is plenty.
- Use a layer of fabric, such as underwear or a sheet, if direct contact feels too intense.
- Try patterns once you have found a speed you like. A changing rhythm can feel very different from a steady buzz.
- Use it as a massager too. Wands work on tense shoulders and backs as well.
Whichever you choose, keep the charging points dry and use the cable that came with the wand, because a different charger may not suit it.
If you share a wand with a partner, a texture cover or a fresh wash between uses keeps things simple and hygienic.
What can the attachments do?
Attachments slip over the head of a wand to change the sensation.
- Stroke: turns an original Le Wand massager into a penis toy. Soft silicone carries the vibration to the shaft, with a small ribbed stroker on top. It has an open design that fits all sizes.
- Slider: a stretchy, textured TPE sleeve that slips over the wand head to make a stroker.
- Hands-Free Holder: a sturdy suction cup with Velcro straps that holds a wand in place, useful for hands-free play and for anyone with limited mobility.
Check compatibility before you buy: some attachments fit the original full-size wands only, and the Petite has its own attachments.
Which Le Wand is right for me?
- You want the most power at home: Diecast or Plug-In.
- You want power without a cord: Le Wand Rechargeable.
- You want something lighter that travels: Petite.
- You want a simple, affordable first wand: Classique Petite.
- You want tiny and quiet: Mini Micro or Mini Vibe Pocket Wand.
- You have a penis and want wand play: a full-size wand with the Stroke attachment.

How do I look after a Le Wand?
Use water-based lube, which is safe with every material, including the silicone heads and attachments. Wipe the wand clean after use with a damp cloth and a toy cleaner, and wash removable silicone attachments in warm soapy water. Do not submerge splash-proof or corded models. Store it in its case or bag, away from other toys. Our guide on how to clean a silicone sex toy has more detail.
Quick questions
Can I use a Le Wand internally?
Wands are designed for external use. For internal play, choose a toy designed for it, such as the double-ended Le Wand Flat Top Fusion G, which has a textured G-spot end.
Are Le Wands loud?
Le Wand publishes a noise figure for the Mini Micro only: under 60 decibels. For other models, check the product page.
Will it arrive discreetly?
Yes. Every order is sent in plain outer packaging, and your statement shows MAW TOYS.
